ChinAfrica Journey - 1 Dec Cha House Shanghai

This event will take place on December 1st in the prestigious historic Cha House within the Multi-Sensory Inspiration Exhibition of the American artist Redic. For 9 years, American artist Redic wondered through the diverse districts and neighborhoods of Shanghai, absorbing the city’s fascinating essence. He collected discarded objects such as chairs, doors, mirrors, and mannequins, transforming them into elaborated mixed media assemblages. This exhibition will bring more than one hundred artworks that combined form all of REDIC SHANGHAI CHAPTERS.

Presentation by Lorenzo Riccardi about 200 economies project with a focus on Sino-African relations seen through the lenses of photography "中非 CHINA AFRICA: A journey to all 54 African countries through photography, maps and geo-economics".

Lorenzo has always been fascinated by geo-economics, and he has combined his passion for traveling new frontiers with interest for emerging markets in multiple journeys covering every sovereign nation (200-economies.com). During his travels, he documents what he witnesses and uses photography as a medium to further analyze peculiarities of the countries he explores.

He is based in Shanghai, where he is Managing Partner of the consulting firm RsA, specializing in emerging countries (rsa-tax.com). He teaches at Shanghai JiaoTong University and has covered roles in the governance of institutions, multi-national companies, and non-profit organisations.
