China’s 30-Day Visa-Free for 38 Countries
China's Foreign Ministry announced on November 22 the extension of the visa-free policy to nine additional countries, including Bulgaria, Croatia, Estonia, Japan, Latvia, Malta, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Romania, bringing the total to 38.
In addition, China decided to further optimize its visa-free policy by including exchange visits within the scope of visa-free entry and extending the permitted visa-free stay from the current 15 days to 30 days.
From November 30, 2024, to December 31, 2025, ordinary passport holders from the 38 eligible countries will be exempted from requiring a visa to enter China and can stay for up to 30 days for purposes such as business, tourism, family visits, exchanges, and transit.
The implementation of the visa-free policy has not only facilitated the exchange of Chinese and foreign personnel but also promoted economic and trade cooperation as well as cultural exchanges.
