Thailand Trade Trends April 2024
According to data released by Thailand’s Ministry of Commerce on May 23, the country's exports grew by 6.8 per cent year on year to approximately USD 23.3 billion in April 2024, rising for the eighth consecutive month.
In the same period, imports expanded by 8.3 per cent year on year to USD 24.92 billion, resulting in a trade deficit of USD 1.64 billion for the month.
During the first four months of 2024, the exports increased by 1.4 per cent to USD 94.27 billion and imports grew by 4.9 per cent to USD 99 billion.
Industrial product shipments rose 9.2 per cent year on year in the 4th month of 2024.
Despite recent challenges, Thai export growth in key markets signals a positive economic trajectory as the country continues to navigate global trade dynamics with resilience.
