We are pleased to inform you about the webinar “The Future is in Africa (with China)" which will be held at Shanghai Jiaotong University via zoom seminar on October 24, 2020.

Objectives

China is well aware of Africa’s great potential to be the next economic miracle. Africa has 54 countries that are members of the United Nations, it is the second continent by area and has the fastest growing population Total GDP in 2019 equal to USD 2.6 trillion, Africa is home for 1.3 billion persons, accounting for 17% of the World population.

Lecture will address Africa’s future trends with a specific focus on its opportunities and its diplomacy strategy with China.

Course Highlights:

China’s newfound prosperity is spreading beyond its borders, spawning the creation of many new factories in Africa and this looks to be just the start of a new economic boom on the continent. Indeed, African economies are growing quickly, and they will soon catch up with China’s growth rate.
